Bobcat

and there he was, a big bobcat, on a soft path zigzagging into the woods
near the house of my us family in Massachusetts there are many trees
but woods are rare

this tiny forest is the exception and my daily early morning getaway

I forgot myself and said hey there and made kissy noises I make when I see my cats at home
I must miss them dearly forgetting that I was alluring a wild animal
but the bobcat gave me a stare and set quietly on his butt

for a while

in the high tree next to us baby birds in a nest were screaming for help
