Sunday snow poem

February 7, 2021

So here I am
A snow flake cursed by
Whiteness

Sometimes
I tend to forget
Absence of memory

Damn
Do I need a brain
To enjoy the blizzard
Downgrading me into
Insignifance

“You’re invisible!”

Are you talking to me
You
Icicle licking
Polar child?

How often does
Nature’s avalanche
Call on them
My bros and sistas
Millions
To shiver
Together

“Just listen…”
They whisper
falling
“Leave others be

Refrain from the
Shield of self
Honor or revere
The shape of
Otherness
Sameness
All the same

Whiteness melting
Snow is frozen water
Nothing more

Nothing less.”
